Own marketing at an AI legal research company that already has 1,900+ firms as customers.
Nylon is an AI-native tax and legal research platform used by 1,900+ accountancy and law firms across the UK, Australia and New Zealand. We were the first product accredited by ICAEW in the Legal Information and Research Software category, and we hold an ACCA affiliation. The UK business has been built almost entirely on outbound sales. It works, and it has taken us a long way. Now we want a second engine, and you would be the person who builds it.
This is our first dedicated marketing hire in the UK. There is no team beneath you yet and no playbook to inherit. There is a working sales motion, a product accountants and lawyers actually use, strong accreditation credentials, and a founder-led company that moves quickly. You will set the marketing strategy and then do most of the work yourself.
What you'll own
Pipeline. SEO and content, paid search and LinkedIn, email nurture, webinars and free-trial campaigns. Your number is qualified pipeline handed to our SDR and AE team, and you will be measured on it.
Brand and content. Sharpen how Nylon shows up in the UK accountancy and legal market: website, thought leadership, case studies, PR and awards, and the marketing side of our ICAEW and ACCA relationships.
Product marketing. Own the messaging. Turn what the product does into language that lands with a tax partner or a managing partner, keep our positioning against incumbent research providers sharp, and equip the sales team with battlecards, decks and one-pagers.
Events and community. Get us in front of the right people: ICAEW and ACCA events, industry conferences, our own roundtables and customer community. Some travel within the UK.
Measurement. Set up attribution and reporting in our CRM (Attio) so we know what is working, and kill what is not.
What we're looking for
5–8 years in B2B marketing, with at least a few of those in SaaS or a subscription product, ideally selling to professional services (accountancy, legal, financial services).
You have built something from little or nothing before: a demand-gen function, a content programme, a launch. You are comfortable being the strategist and the person executing at 4pm on a Thursday.
Fluent in the tools: SEO and analytics, paid search and paid social, marketing automation and CRM, and the AI tools that make a small team punch above its weight.
You write well. Clearly, quickly, without fluff. Most of what marketing produces is words, and ours need to be credible to accountants and lawyers.
Commercially minded. You care about pipeline and revenue, not vanity metrics, and you enjoy working shoulder to shoulder with a sales team.
Curious about AI and about how professional services firms are changing. You do not need a legal or tax background, but you need to be able to learn the market fast.
Nice to have: experience marketing to accountants or lawyers; familiarity with ICAEW, ACCA or Law Society ecosystems; hands-on experience with webinar programmes or partnership marketing.
What we offer
£55,000–£70,000 base, depending on experience
