The role
- Lead accounting and controlling for the German subgroup
- Act as a finance partner to European entities
- Develop the finance organisation and support national and European decision-making
- Represent the finance function at European level
What you will do
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, annual and consolidated accounts
- Coordinate reporting and intercompany reconciliation for European subsidiaries
- Lead budgets, forecasts, multi-year plans and variance analysis
- Manage internal controls, accounting policies, tax guidance and transfer pricing policy
- Own liquidity and cash-flow management for the German subgroup
- Lead finance process and system projects
- Support acquisitions, integrations or restructuring when relevant
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers, banks and group leadership
What you will bring
- A degree in business, finance, accounting or controlling, or a comparable qualification
- Substantial group-accounting experience, ideally with audit experience
- Strong knowledge of German commercial accounting for individual and consolidated accounts
- Several years of leadership and management experience in a comparable role
- Strategic thinking combined with a practical approach
- Experience with ERP, reporting and business intelligence systems
- Fluent written and spoken German and English
